Terms of Service
Last updated July 25, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Bone (“Bone,” “we,” “us,” “our”) governing your access to and use of the Bone browser, applications, websites, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & age
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Bone account. If you are under the age of majority in your country (typically 18), you may only use the Service with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to be bound by these Terms. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Where you use Bone on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that business, and “you” includes that business.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You may sign in with an email and password or with a supported third-party provider (Google, Apple, Microsoft, or GitHub); when you do, you authorize us to receive basic profile information from that provider to create and secure your account. You are responsible for all use of the Service under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to help others:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- upload or distribute malware, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or account;
- interfere with, disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the Service (except as permitted by law);
- use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful, harmful, deceptive, harassing, or abusive content;
- resell or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted; or
- circumvent usage limits, security, or access controls.
AI features are provided to assist you; you are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them, and you remain responsible for the actions you take through Bone.
4. Plans, billing & usage
Some features require a paid plan or usage-based billing. Prices, included usage, and billing terms are shown at the point of purchase. Paid amounts (including usage charges) are billed to your payment method on the cycle described at checkout, through our third-party payment processor. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not prorated. You are responsible for applicable taxes. We may change pricing on a going-forward basis with reasonable notice; continued use after a change takes effect is acceptance of the new pricing. If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it is resolved.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create, upload, or store through Bone (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and back up Your Content solely to operate, secure, and provide the Service and the features you request. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use your private content to train foundation models. You represent that you have the rights needed to use Your Content with the Service and that it does not violate these Terms or the law.
6. Bone’s intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the “Bone” marks, is owned by Bone and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not use our name or logos without our prior written permission.
7. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without restriction or obligation to you.
8. Third-party services
Bone lets you connect to and browse third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party content, products, or conduct.
9. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to notices of alleged infringement consistent with applicable law, including the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). To report infringement, contact legal@bone.app with enough detail to identify the work and the material at issue. We may remove content and terminate repeat infringers.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms) will survive.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate or suitable for your purposes.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bone will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Bone harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the law, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and Bone agree to resolve disputes in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts. Nothing here limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
16. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Bone regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You agree to comply with applicable export-control and sanctions laws.
